What was your inspiration behind this particular photograph?

Coco, (model) & the way Ali (hair & makeup) and Ella (stylist) styled her. The styling is spot on.. I really liked the Henriette Lofstrom shoulder piece. You can see how it’s influenced the way I positioned my model, very angular.. like the shapes on the shoulder-piece. The clothes are important in fashion photography but unless you have some kind of connection or rapport with the model when you shoot, you’ll be lucky to come away with anything exciting. When you’re working with a great team who know what they’re doing, they create a character for you to photograph. It’s exciting seeing a model with great makeup in amazing clothes. It’s inspiring.. When the rapport with the model is there, you get back to your studio and look through the shoot and it’s hard to chose a final image.

  1. This is a beautiful photo. And I love the hair, makeup and outfit, and the creative thought process that went into it
